I love the colour palette in these dishes .
I placed cut squares of spring green, egyptian blue, vanilla and sunshine yellow in random patterns and sizes on top of each other. Then the glass was placed in the kiln and fired at about 1400C. At this temp the glass melts and the colours flow into each other and the piece becomes rounded and soft at the edges. Some of the colours react with each other which can give interesting delineations between the colours. As is the nature of glass, the piece that you very carefully place into the kiln can be very different from the piece that comes out.
Each platter is approx 20cm x 20cm in size.
